I’m backkkkkk :p
Winter break really just slowed everything down and made me not want to do anything, so I did that…..but now I’m back and ready to yap. I’ve rounded up a few of my recent favorites as a way to ease back into things <3
Clothing wise, I’ve been pretty comfort-focused and leaning towards the same few items. The pair of vintage sailor pants I mentioned picking up in my previous newsletter have been one of them.

On sort of the same note, One of my most worn tops has got to be this deadstock US Navy sweater I thrifted on a whim. I’ve been getting on top of more random purchases like that but at least this one was worthwhile!

I also had a few things besides class and work to attend, (groundbreaking) so I was excited to get dressed for that as well! First was a popup for my dad’s brand, St. Valentine’s Better.

My dad is the main reason why I’m into clothes and fashion, and his own personal style and interests have influenced me in so many ways. Being able to help out and see people react positively to his work in person was an amazing experience. More things on the way soon. :)

I also had the pleasure of attending NYFW! I was invited to see the Allina Liu FW24 presentation, The Daughters of Nyx.

Inspired by ancient Greek mythology and modern horror, the models were decked out in garments bearing Allina’s signature ties and lovely hand painted florals. On top of that, each model was tethered to one another by red ropes braided though their hair.

Although I hate to admit it, a lot of my time was also spent watching television. A gal has to be able to just sit on the couch sometimes. When I wasn’t up at 1 am watching Australian Open matches, (forza Sinner!), I got a few movies in here and there. Timed my first watch of The Holdovers perfectly with the first snow flurries of the season, and also watched Paris, Texas for the first time.

Can’t talk about my recent favorites without mentioning music! I bought myself a few records and justified it because it was my birthday month…..obviously. Will probably make a tiktok showing them soon just to remind the people that I am not only a fashun enthusiast but a music snob as well.
I don’t have a season specific playlist at the moment, but I do have one going for February that I’ll be adding to as the month progresses.
That’s it! My next few posts may already be related to the spring, as I’ve honestly just had enough of the winter weather. When those will be published I do not know……just bear with me. Thank you for reading!
